Lately, we have detected several cases of unauthorised use of our trademark BUFF® and graphic trademark of “How to use” in Finland in competitive products.

For this reason we understand it is advisable to inform that:

. -“BUFF” is not a generic name, but a registered trademark, registered all over the world. Currently, “BUFF” is an European community trademark number 366070 and 2426005 in class 25, among others, for clothing and headwear with effects in Finland.

Consequently, “BUFF”® can neither be used freely, nor in a descriptive manner giving the wrong impression that “BUFF” is the generic name of the goods for which the trademark is registered (headwear).

.- The following drawings are the graphic trademark of “How to use”, registered under the European Community trademark number 2755957, in class 25, for clothing and headwear:

These drawings are also an original artistic work created by ORIGINAL BUFF, SA, which therefore is the owner of its copyright.

Consequently, the referred drawings can not be used freely.

.- The slogan “The original multifunctional headwear” is an original slogan created by ORIGINAL BUFF,SA.

ORIGINAL BUFF, SA initiated this new product category (multifunctional headwear) in 1992.

The original multifunctional headwear “BUFF®” is only manufactured by ORIGINAL BUFF, SA and distributed in Finland by B-Trade KY, Tattarisuontie 1, 00770 Helsinki, GSM 358 40 5159377, fax 358 9 3404801, and www.buff.fi.

Consequently, the referred slogan can not be used freely in relation to headwear not manufactured by or with the consent of Original Buff, SA, because it would be a misleading advertising, giving false information about the characteristics and commercial origin of goods.

ORIGINAL BUFF, SA has a firm determination in protecting its trademarks and copyrights.
